SS-CITA was organized by the REGIM-Lab. (Research Groups in Intelligent Machines, University of Sfax), Sponsored by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and the Association of Sustainable Innovation in Tunisia and technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Region 8 and Tunisian chapters of IEEE WIE,CI, SMC, and IA Societies.
The program of the school included theoretical and practical talks during four days from 11 till 14 August 2014. The main goal of SS-CITA is to provide undergraduate students, M.Sc. or PhD students, academics, and engineers from industry with hands-on knowledge on sophisticated Computational Intelligence (CI) algorithms and methods. It gives the opportunity to discover the most recent advances in CI research as well as substantial examples of successful CI applications to solve complex real-world problems. The school included theoretical and practical sessions. The choice of such topic is based on the growing attention paid towards intelligent systems.
